TRADITIONS WHICH ARE KEPT DURING CENTURIES.

BORN IN RIGA. FAMOUS - WORLDWIDE.

 

DARTZ.EU is relatively Young company - we start official business at 1988 - as soon, as Gorby allowed to do that.

But we followed traditions which was started in Riga -  long time before 1988.

We digged out and reincarnated World First Armored Car and same we did with Window Films. This two products is our proud - as both was born and reincarnated in Riga, Latvia. Security equipment for banks are also manufactured in factories with more than 50 years experience in security and armoring.

One more famous product was also born in Riga - James Bond favorite Stoli Vodka - but this thing we only test in our Museum - Vodka not our business :-).

So let's start.

Armored Car PROMBRON' (ex-Russo-Baltique) - born in Riga at 1908.

Car under brand Russo-Balt was manufactured in Riga, at RBVZ - Russko Blatiyskiy Vagonnij Zavod since 1908.

Unique and original.

In the middle of XIX century german-belgian company Van der Zypen und Charlier got from Russia order to built 500 good wagons and passenger carriages for Rizhsko-Dvinskoy Railroad. As people in all countries and always don't like to pay export taxes company at 1869 built in Riga factory under the name Russko-Baltiyskiy Vagonniy Zavod or RBVZ.

There were manufactured good wagons  and luxury passenger carriages (we like to keep exact this tradition :-)) - and was rapidly growing after Transsib launching. At 1900 was made 5513 good wagons 219 luxury passenger carriages. You can't imagine this carriages - modern carrige is just nothing if You will compare. By the way - same like our ultraluxury armored car interior.

But after Russian-Japanese War this market fall down, and factory management (modern word, we don't like :-)) start to think what to do. And CEO of RBVZ Mr. Shidlivsky made a decision to start build cars. Why? Those time Russia were imported cars on 4,5 million roubles - but market volume was around 20 million roubles, Russia always was rich country.

One year passed - and first Russo-Balt left factory. First model was Russo-Balt C-24/30, based on belgian car Fondu.

At 1914 was made 300 cars. Is this amount big or not? Everything is comparative. Same year Alfa-Romeo made 205 cars, AUdi - 216, Bugatti - 150, Mercedes - less and so on. So - Russo-Balt was real European automotive industry leader at the begining of XX century. Totally was made around 625 cars - noboy know for sure how many.
 
But most legendary was sportcar Russo-Balt С-24/58 with 5 liter engine and reached speed 130 km/per hour.

But during First World War factory was evacuated to St.Petersburg were start to make armored cars which later get brand PROMBRON' (ex-Russo-Baltique).

At the same place manufacturing of armored cars was born again at 1998 - when famous Russian designer made a car under the name COMBAT T-98.

And 10 years after famous Russo-Balt come back to Baltic - at 2008 ultraluxury version of COMBAT T-98 - yes, yes - PROMBRON' (ex-Russo-Baltique) was born again.

Exact 100 years after first car left factory.

In celebration of this data our investor Mrs. Regina launched UltraLuxury - Family Relique Vodka - RussoBaltique Vodka, and also order RussoBaltique 100.

And - of course - we can't miss the opportunity to show this car to Prince Louis GrandSon - Prince Albert.

............December, 31. Bank of Neva river. -19 C. Not hot for rally on open top car. Mr. A. Nagel and Mr. V. Mikhailov - two brave russians who make a deicison to take part in Rally Monte-Carlo.

Started at 1910 rally Monte-Carlo - is World Oldest Rally, it was organised by Prince Loui, from Grimaldi family. Mr. Noes - Monaco AutoClub President gave this idea to Prince Louis as gambling season was slow in winter - and rally was additional promotion to famous gambling resort. Idea was really great - as this rally became Most Prestiqious in  Europe.

It's a long story how this two heroic man come to Monaco and was awarded by Prince Louis, but we will do exact same way at 2009 - in memories of Days gone by, in memories or RussoBalt. 

Window Films - Born in Riga at 1959.

Other our product - and may be the main window films which was born in Riga at 1959, and at 2009 we will celebrate 50-th Aniversary of window film era.

First coating technologies which were used for cosmic industry was born at late 50-th - and in reality nobody know when and were exact - as everything was secret and behind iron curtain.

But there is some information that first polyester film coated with metall was launched at 1959 - using cosmic technologies.

Anycase coating factory which is known now under the name SIDRABE was opened at 1962, and now supply their machines worldwide.

DARTZ is proud to declare that we use our domestic tecnhologies which add to our product additional strength and soul.

Using domestic coating equipment also allow us to create unseen before window film products - like Ag+ Solar Control films, like Spy.KGB.tint or Energy.Making.Film - and many other products which available only at DARTZ.
